The talisman in this book is a 1948 souvenir of the centennial celebration for Oscoda and Au Sable Michigan. Its obverse reads:
“Oscoda—Au Sable Centennial. Good for .25 in Trade. Oscoda, Mich. Redeem before Sept. 18, 1948.”
