Its endbands are red and white cotton, and its bookmark is red grosgrain ribbon. Its spine covered in red leather, and its boards are wrapped in paper whose planets and space-ships were hand-printed in Japan.
The talisman in this book is a July 16, 1969 commemorative coin from the launch of Apollo 11, marking the first time humans walked on the face of the moon. It was a big deal then, and it still is. Take a small step for humans today.
