This archival, over-sized sketchbook is made from 80 gsm, white Mohawk Superfine paper.  It is sewn with waxed Irish linen thread in a modified pamphlet stitch.

Its boards are wrapped in a 1951 map of the United States of America, and the book is half-clothed in Dubletta book cloth from the Netherlands.

The talisman in this book is a 1937 Buffalo nickel, designed by James Earl Fraser and first issued in 1913 after it was commissioned by his friend President Theodore Roosevelt.
